A memorial service has been held to mark the 10th anniversary of the Kent Air Ambulance crash that killed three crew members.

Paramedics Tony Richardson, from Maidstone, Mark Darby, from Rochester, and pilot Graham Budden, from Surrey, died when the helicopter crashed into power lines in a field near Rochester airport, on July 26, 1998.

The Kent Air Ambulance Trust held a service for the victims’ families at Rochester Cathedral to celebrate the lives of the crew.

Mr Richardson, of West Park Road, Maidstone, had been a member of the Kent Air Ambulance team for three years. He left two grown-up children, Kevin and Heather, and a wife, Lesley.
