Tonbridge Angels skipper Anthony Storey is battling to be fit for the Ryman League Premier Division derby against leaders Dartford at Longmead on Saturday.

Storey limped off during last week’s 2-1 win over Wealdstone in the fourth round of the Championship Manager Cup, only for Tonbridge to be kicked out of the competition and fined for fielding an ineligible player. Substitute Akwasi Edusei had already played in a previous round for Margate.

Scott Gooding could miss the rest of the season after suffering a knee injury in the 3-1 league defeat at Bognor on Saturday, while fellow defender Tom Bryant will be out for possibly six weeks with damaged ankle ligaments.

Two-goal defender Marc Cumberbatch was the unlikely hero with the 85th-minute winner in the 3-2 home win against Cray on Tuesday, the Angels first league win since mid-November. Former striker Carl Rook (pictured) won’t play against Angels this weekend as part of the deal that took him to Dartford.
