A motorcyclist is in a critical condition in hospital after being involved in a collision with a van.

The 24-year-old was airlifted to a London hospital following the crash, which is being investigated by officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit.

It happened on Lenham Road, Maidstone, at 6.35am when white Peugeot Partner van travelling towards Lenham collided with a black Suzuki Bandit motorcycle going in the opposite direction.
