A motorcyclist died after he was involved in a crash on the A26.

The victim, from Bearsted, was riding a red Suzuki motorbike that collided with a white Ford Transit van at Hadlow, near Tonbridge.

He was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which happened at around 4.40pm Monday outside the Hadlow Manor Hotel.

Police are appealing for witnesses, in particular the driver of an orange coloured vehicle that went past a white Ford Transit van about 4.20pm as it was reversing onto the road from a farm entrance.

The road was closed while emergency services attended the incident and reopened around 9pm.
