A MAN whose body was found last week in the River Len at Maidstone has been identified as 75-year-old Laurence Harrison, of Yeoman Way, Bearsted.

Mr Harrison's identity was confirmed at the opening of an inquest into his death.

His body was discovered under a bridge which crosses the Len in a wooded section of Spot Lane, Madginford, on Wednesday, January 15.

Maidstone and Malling Police said they were not treating his death as suspicious.
