16-year-old boy charged with murdering Wayne Chester, 50, in Maidstone

A 16-year-old boy has been charged with murder after a man was killed in Maidstone on Friday night.

The teenager is due to appear at Maidstone Magistrates' Court tomorrow accused of murdering Wayne Chester, 50.

An 18-year-old and a boy, 17, who were also arrested on suspicion of murder remain in custody, while a 15-year-old boy has been bailed until Thursday, October 12. All the suspects are from Maidstone.

Police and paramedics were called to McDonald's, in Week Street, Maidstone, at 10.30pm on Friday following reports of a disturbance.

Mr Chester, who lived in Maidstone, was taken to a London hospital with a head injury and was put into an induced coma but sadly later died.
