Four people were arrested when police carried out a drugs raid in Maidstone on Saturday.

The neighbourhood policing team executed the warrant at an address in Sunningdale Court.

Four people were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply illegal substances. Officers seized cannabis thought to be worth around £4,000 and amphetamine worth around £300. A Saab 93 car was seized from one of the suspects, as it was believed to have been used in crime and officers also seized a knuckle duster.

Those arrested are all from Maidstone. They were: a 24-year-old man, arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply cannabis, heroin and cocaine, and possession of an offensive weapon; a 27-year-old man on suspicion of possession with intent to supply cannabis, heroin and cocaine; a 46-year-old man on suspicion of possession with intent to supply cannabis and amphetamine; a 35-year-old woman on suspicion of possession with intent to supply amphetamine and cannabis, and a 45-year-old man was issued with a formal street warning for possession of cannabis.

PC James Arnold from Kent Police said: “This warrant came directly as a result of anonymous information that we received that suggested drug offences were being committed in this area. We are really grateful for the support and information that we receive from the public and I hope that this result will give people further confidence to report suspicious behaviour to us so we can investigate and take action, as we have in this instance.”
