Two Maidstone men arrested after drugs found in car at Mote Park

Two men have been arrested in connection with the supply of class A drugs after a suspicious car was searched by police.

At around 12.05am today police became aware of a Mazda which was parked close to an entrance to Mote Park, Maidstone.

It was suspected the vehicle could be linked to criminality and a search was carried out under The Misuse of Drugs Act.

A number of bags believed to contain cocaine, as well as quantities of cash and mobile phones were seized. A search was then carried out at an address linked to the occupants of the car. This led to the discovery of further quantities of suspicious substances.

The driver and a passenger, aged 30 and 33 and from the Maidstone area, were arrested on suspicion of supplying Class A drugs. They have both subsequently been released pending further investigation.
