ROBBERS escaped with a cash machine after raiding a public house in Kent early today.

The machine was stolen from the Kentish Yeoman pub at Ashford Road, Bearsted, near Maidstone, at around 3.25am.

It is believed the offenders used a four wheel drive vehicle to pull the pub’s door off its hinges before taking the machine and driving off.

The public house was cordoned off this morning while police carried out forensic examinations. Anyone with information is asked to contact Maidstone police on 01622 608051.
