Inquest opened on crash victim Paul Hooker from Kingswood

An inquest has been opened into the death of Paul Hooker of Pitt Road, Kingswood, near Maidstone.

Mr Hooker, who was born in Faversham, was travelling home along Pitt Road after visiting the Potting Shed pub-restaurant in Horsehoes Lane, Langley, when the Mercedes car left the carriageway and overturned.

The accident happened at 11.25pm on September 21.

Coroner Katherine Hepburn heard that a post mortem had determined that Mr Hooker had died from multiple severe injuries, but a toxicology report had yet to be prepared.

She adjourned the inquest for a full hearing to be held on December 9 at 11.20am at County Hall in Maidstone.
