A yellow weather warning is in place for parts of Kent into the late morning.
Light snow was said to be falling around the Surrey/Kent borders at just after 8am, with the Kings Hill area seeing a flurry mid-morning and Gravesend and Medway seeing slight and snow just before 11am.
The Met Office says heavy rain across parts of west Kent, including Tunbridge Wells and Maidstone, may turn to snow, causing trouble on the roads for those travelling.
The warning is in place until 11am today.
Meanwhile there are several flood alerts on Kent rivers, including the upper River Medway and the river Eden and Eden Brook areas.
A second warning comes into force at 4pm tonight, with temperatures expected to plummet and driving conditions predicted to be precarious.
