Traffic builds up after the crash

The London-bound carriageway was re-opened at 8am, but coastbound remained closed until just after 11.30am while crews worked to clear a major fuel spillage.

There have been no injuries, but the clean-up led to delays of several hours for commuters.

Firefighters and Highways Agency workers were at the scene.
