Police called after accident involving lorry at M20 junction for Maidstone Services

Police and fire crews have been called to junction eight of the M20 after an accident this morning.

The crash, involving a lorry and a car, happened at around 9.55am, on the roundabout for Maidstone services and the A20.

Kent Fire and Rescue Services confirmed it was called to the scene, but did not have to cut anyone free.

A spokesperson from Kent Police said: "Kent Police was called to a collision, reported to involve a car and a lorry, at 9.58am on Thursday.

"It took place near junction eight of the Londonbound carriageway and briefly blocked the road.

"To ensure public safety, a brief closure was enforced to move the vehicles involved onto the hard shoulder,

"No serious injuries were reported."
