Maidstone manager Jay Saunders is desperate for his side's eight-game winning streak to continue when they face a stern test in the FA Cup.

Bognor visit Bourne Park in the second preliminary round on Saturday and they arrive as one of just three teams with more points in the Ryman League, Division 1 South than Maidstone.

After a dismal start, Saunders’ side have strung six straight wins together in the league but Bognor are seen, along with Whitehawk, to be the Stones’ main rivals for promotion.

United have eased through their opening two FA Cup ties, scoring 18 goals in the process, but Saunders (pictured) knows there is not likely to be another nine-goal haul on Saturday.

He said: "It’s going to be tough but we’re on a great run at the moment."

"Obviously confidence is high, we have a fully fit squad and want to keep the run going."
