Men deny £20 million drug charges

Three men have denied being involved with £20 million of heroin found at a motorway service station.

Harminder Chana, 30, of Upton Park, East London; Atif Khan, 32, of York Close, Beckton; and Dutch national Patrick Kuster, 35, pleaded not guilty when they appeared at Kingston Magistrates’ Court , charged with conspiracy to supply heroin.

They were remanded in custody and a trial date has been set for January 19, 2009.

Metropolitan Police found 350kg of heroin in a Seat Leon and BMW estate in a service station car park near Junction 8 on the M20, at Maidstone, on April 3 this year.
