Missing woman found dead in Maidstone wildlife park, inquest hears

A woman reported missing from her home in Maidstone was found suspended from a tree in a nearby nature park, an inquest heard.

Irena Toleveisiene from Upper Fant Road, disappeared on Thursday, March 17.

Police issued an appeal to help find her but tragically the 56-year-old was found the next day, shortly after 9am, by a passer-by in Fant Wildlife Area, off Roseholme.

A post-mortem determined the cause of her death was hanging.

Coroner Patricia Harding adjourned the inquest until June 7.

Mrs Toleveisene was born in Lithuania.

A police spokesman had previously said they were not treating her death as suspicious.
