Two missing Tonbridge boys have been found safe after two days, police said today.

Fears were growing for Paul Rogers, 14, and 15-year-old Oliver Bowles after they disappeared on Sunday.

Their families yesterday issued pleas to help find the pair, who police believed could have been together.

Kent Police today said Paul was found safe by police in Canary Wharf, London, at 6.45pm yesterday.

And Oliver was located in Tonbridge and is now in the care of a family member. There are said to be no ongoing concerns for his safety.

Paul, of Trench Road, had left his home at 3.30pm and was seen at Quarry Fish and Chips, in Quarry Hill Road, at about 7.30pm.

Half an hour later, his mother Alison Cooper rang him to ask when he would be home for dinner - to which he replied "within the next 15 or 20 minutes" - but it was the last they heard from him.

Alison said: "It's a massive relief that he's now ok. I am so pleased. He was in London, which is surprising as we don't know anyone there.

"He said he was being bullied and I know the boys that are concerned. There's 10 of them all together and they chase him.

"I've told the police about it, but obviously something is not being done to stop it. He's worried to go out now because every time he does they end up chasing him. Some of them go to his school, others go elsewhere.

She added: "Even though he's 14, he can't read or write. This is why I can't work out how he just disappeared.

"He was found in Canary Wharf by Transport Police, who took him aside and returned him.

"I didn't know Paul and Oliver were friends until the day before they went missing. Paul stayed over on the Saturday and his mum has since told me that the boys have been friends for a few weeks."

Meanwhile, Oliver had been reported missing by his family at 12.15am on Monday.
