Police and forensic investigators were called to a block of flats after a woman's body was discovered.

Officers were called by South East Coast Ambulance Service at around 7am regarding a reported medical incident at an address in Roseholme, Maidstone.

Police officers and ambulance crews attended and a local woman in her 40s was found dead.

The death is not being treated as suspicious and next of kin have been informed.

A report will now be prepared for the coroner.
