Rail deaths: trial date set

TWO men, one from Kent, appeared at Carlisle Crown Court charged with the manslaughter of four railway workers killed by a runaway wagon on the West Coast main line at Tebay in Cumbria last year.

They are Roy Kennett, 27, from Hollingbourne, near Maidstone, and Mark Connolly, from Anglesey, north Wales.

A trial date was set for January next year.
