People have been warned to be on the lookout for rouge traders offering to do garden work.

Reports of two men approaching homes to offer tree cutting and other garden maintenance services have come from villagers in Downswood and Bearsted.

The duo, who operate out of a white Ford van, raised suspicions when passers-by spotted them looking through house windows before knocking on the door.

Kent Trading Standards is aware of the claims and is investigating.
