A main road has reopened after a man was freed from the wreckage of an overturned vehicle on the A249 at Detling.

The driver was taken on a spinal board to an ambulance and driven to hospital.

The road has reopened but Kent Highways has advised of long delays in the area.

A police spokesman said there are not believed to be any life-threatening injuries.

Highways England initially estimated the road would be reopened by 5.45pm but then changed that to 6.15pm.
