A self-proclaimed arsonist has sent another threat to the Kent Messenger.

The suspect sent the menacing message in a second email to the KM Group after we published the first in last week's paper.

The emailer claims to be responsible for five fires in and around Maidstone.

The latest email repeats a promise to target the KM's offices unless we give the arsonist a tag name. It also includes a threat to burn the home of a police officer.

The arsonist has linked each of the targeted businesses by spraying a number outside or on the building.

Number one was the office of Hugh Robertson, MP for Faversham and Mid Kent, in Faversham Road, Lenham, and the Ironmongers below. Number three was Bathroom and Kitchens Ltd in Warmlake Business Estate, Sutton Valence, pictured.

The police are aware of the second threat and are treating it seriously.
