Tonbridge Angels left it late to record a 1-0 win over Hampton & Richmond at Longmead on Saturday.

After Ade Olorunda was fouled in the box by Matt Ruby, Frannie Collin (pictured) converted from the spot in the 88th minute to secure the points against the Blue Square Bet South basement-boys and move Tommy Warrilow's side six points clear of the relegation zone.

Sonny Miles smacked a header into the bar from Chris Henry's free-kick in the opening minutes, and Collin then rattled the woodwork 20 minutes later from a 25-yard free-kick.

Marcel Francis dragged a chance wide at the other end before the break and, after the interval, Collin and Olorunda were thwarted by Borough keeper Matt Lovett.

Ben Andrews was thrown-on as a makeshift striker alongside Olorunda and Collin in the final 10 minutes, before Collin stung Lovett's palms with a volley.

Borough only recorded their first shot on-target at Lee Worgan's goal after 86 minutes with a tame effort from substitute David Tarby.

After the emphatic penalty, Borough's Paul Johnson was sent off amid a fracas in the Borough penalty area and there was still time for Jake Beecroft to see a shot deflected wide.

As Tonbridge move away from drop-zone, are they looking good enough to stay in Blue Square Bet South? Leave your comments below.
