Tonbridge manager Tommy Warrilow says the prospect of facing Blue Square Bet South rivals Sutton for the second successive week isn’t ideal but preferable to no game at all.

The Angels boss and his opposite number, Paul Doswell, agreed on the swift reunion with both clubs out of the FA Cup. The sides drew 1-1 last weekend and Warrilow, pictured, heads to Gander Green Lane on Saturday boosted by a first away win of the season at Eastbourne in midweek.

Warrilow said: "Paul rang me suggesting we re-arrange the game and I agreed because I didn’t want a blank weekend."

Ex-Sutton man Chris Piper scored both goals in the 2-1 victory at Eastbourne and Warrilow was delighted.

"It was a massive win for us," he said. "Everyone did their jobs on a difficult night, with gale force winds and pouring rain.

"I pushed Pipes further forward to play alongside Lee Browning and he cashed in with a couple of goals. He is enjoying his football and loves the place."
