Tonbridge Angels will not be in awe of facing Dover Athletic in the FA Cup

Tonbridge manager Tommy Warrilow has insisted they won’t be overawed in their FA Cup second qualifying round tie at Dover on Saturday.

Despite being lifted by last weekend’s first win of the season against Boreham Wood, Warrilow (pictured) acknowledges his side face one of the toughest second qualifying round hurdles tomorrow.

He said: "Dover are a fantastic club who are growing all the time. They’ve got a big squad and everything is going in the right direction.

"But, that said, they are still in the same league as us and so we are not going there in awe of them.

"We hope that at some point we will have the same sort of financial backing they’ve got but this is only our second season at this level and we are learning all the time."

Extra spice will be added to the fixture by the fact Angels’ line-up could contain five former Dover players: Ollie Schulz, Frannie Collin, Danny Walder, Lee Browning and striker George Purcell, who opened his account for the season with a double against Boreham Wood last Saturday.

"I’ve been happy with George even though he hasn’t been scoring," Warrilow said. "He’s been working his socks off up front and, now that

"He’s up and running in terms of goals, hopefully that will mean he will be challenging Frannie in our top scorer list."
