Woman cut free from car wreckage

FIREFIGHTERS used cutting equipment to free a woman from her car after it was in collision with a wall.

The accident happened at just after 11am on Monday in Boxley Road, Maidstone, after the woman apparently lost control of her car.

Two fire crews from Maidstone took the roof off the car and removed the driver onto a spinal board as a precaution.

She was taken to Maidstone Hospital suffering abdonimal pains.

The road was closed for about two hours while the scene was cleared.
