LASHINGS cricket boss David Folb says he would be interested in helping to stage a cricket festival in Maidstone next summer – a week after he claimed "negativity" had forced him to abandon the idea.

Folb says the response he received following last week’s story in the Kent Messenger has convinced him to reconsider his position.

He said: "I was amazed when I went out that people were coming up to me, quite indignantly, saying that we should be playing in Maidstone. People are passionate about it."
