Mote Cricket Club Women’s first team to take on Oman national side during unique tour experience

Mote Cricket Club Women’s first team are taking their talents overseas next month.

They are set to compete against the Oman national women’s side in a series of T20 and 40-over matches from Friday, February 9 until Friday, February 16, with Mote CC becoming the first English club side to face Oman.

Having hosted England Women’s side for a training camp before their series against India, Oman Cricket boasts impressive facilities.

Nick Aldrich, head coach of Mote Women, said the excitement and anticipation for the tour is at fever pitch among the players and organisers.

Mote Women captain Shottie Hopkins added leading out the team to play under floodlights against a national women’s outfit on a world-class wicket will be a memory which lasts a lifetime.

The tour has been made possible thanks to the support of Mote CC’s players, management team, including Iain Hume, Oman Cricket and sponsors Esquire Developments and Salix Cricket.
