Maidstone United manager Harry Wheeler offers hope to Shamir Mullings

Manager Harry Wheeler says there could still be a future for Shamir Mullings at Maidstone.

Mullings appeared to have played his last game for the Stones after joining Dagenham on loan until the end of the season on Friday.

The striker scored on his Daggers debut in a 3-1 defeat by Ebbsfleet and Maidstone will keep an eye on him.

Asked if Mullings was finished at Maidstone, Wheeler said: "Not necessarily. There’s a call-back in there.

"If we need to call him back and he does well, he’s shown a desire to be here and hopefully he does well there and he leaves his options open."

Discussing Mullings' goal, Wheeler added: "So there we go. He’s started well and he can go from there and keep pushing on."

Andre Coker is the latest Maidstone player to go out on loan, signing a three-month deal at National South side Dartford.

The winger joins Stones team-mate Jordan Wynter at Princes Park - he's there for a month - with both men free to play for Dartford in the FA Cup at Oxford City this weekend.

Jack Richards joined Bostik Premier leaders Tonbridge on a month's loan on Friday, making his debut from the bench in a 3-2 defeat by Bishop's Stortford.
