Maidstone United winger Bobby-Joe Taylor agrees a new deal

Bobby-Joe Taylor will be a Maidstone player again this season after agreeing a new deal.

The winger, who has just returned from holiday in Australia, made 38 appearances last season and scored in the National League South play-off final against Ebbsfleet.

Taylor, 21, joined Maidstone last summer after leaving Cambridge United.

The news comes 24 hours after striker Dumebi Dumaka also committed his future to the Stones.

Manager Jay Saunders said: "We spoke at the end of the game at Ebbsfleet. He was going away early, as I was, I said I wanted him to stay and he said the same thing.

"We spoke while he was in Australia and it was something we'd pretty much agreed but we didn't want to announce anything until pen was put to paper.

"He's come back and done that and he's another one that I'm pleased to get done."

Taylor said: "I'm absolutely delighted to get the deal done.

"When I was away in Australia, people say 'go and enjoy your holiday' but I found that a little bit difficult. It's not as easy as that and I was always on my phone when I could, with the time difference, to get something sorted.

"The gaffer was good with that and I'm glad to be back in and put pen to paper."
