Staff at a golf club say lives could have been put at risk after part of the course was targeted by arsonists.
Firefighters had to be called as a result of the attack at Kings Hill Golf Club tonight.
It damaged a section of the course and led to thick smoke in the area.
An official said youths on bikes had been verbally abusing golfers and stealing golf balls before fire started and warned lives were put in danger.
They also praised the fire service for tackling the blaze.
The club is appealing for witnesses to get in touch.
