Attempted robbery in Gillingham

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after an attempted robbery in Gillingham.

A 49-year-old woman from Chatham was walking along Windmill Road on Wednesday, December 2, at about 5pm.

She was approached by two men who demanded she hand over her handbag although she didn’t have anything on her possession.

She ran along Windmill Road towards Chatham Hill and was not hurt in the incident.

The two men are possibly Eastern European.

One was around 25-years-old and was wearing blue jeans and a light jacket.
