A woman has been taken to hospital after crashing her car into a barrier on the M2.

SECAmb were called just after 7.30am to reports a car had crashed into the barrier near junction 3 of the M2 this morning.

A woman in her 30s was suffering from chest and shoulder pain and taken to Medway maritime Hospital for checks, but is it not believed her injuries are serious.

Fire crews from Medway and Strood were also called 8.09am.

They moved the vehicle to a secure location.

Traffic was queued on the exit slip road on the M2 in both directions at J3, A229 (Chatham).
