A man's body has been pulled from the River Medway at Rochester this afternoon.
Police were called to Rochester Esplanade just before 4.30pm after walkers reported a body in the water between two boats in the marina.
Officers are currently investigating but the remains have yet to be identified.
A Kent Police spokesman said: "A man's body was removed from the river earlier this evening. The death is not currently being treated as suspicious."
Passer-by Craig Smith watched police arrive at the scene.
"I walked past a bit earlier and saw a woman leaving the boat yard - she looked a bit upset.
"When I came back I saw the police were charging down there with blue lights."
