Eurovision winners Bucks Fizz will be one of the support acts at this year’s Castle Concerts, it has been revealed.
While the eagerly-awaited line-up is yet to be officially announced, band member Cheryl Baker has published the date on her website as one of the concerts of their 2015 tour – which is where the music festival will be taking place.
Now branded as Cheryl, Mike and Jay - Formerly of Bucks Fizz, the group became a hit in the summer of 1981 after winning Eurovision with Making Your Mind Up.
They are set to perform at the castle on Friday, July 17 – according to Cheryl’s website.
Last year’s event featured top acts including UB40, Level 42, and X-Factor winner Sam Bailey – although UB40’s slot was undermined by torrential rain, power failures and even a reports of a man getting stabbed.
The headline act is yet to be announced.
