More than 20 fire fighters have spent five hours tackling a blaze at a flat in Medway.

Crews were called to the property in Maidstone Road, Chatham, shortly before 2am today (Thursday).

There were five crews at the scene, including a height vehicle.

Two fire engines are still at the scene.

Maidstone Road was closed to give crews access to the blaze.

There are no reported casualties.
