The 39th Annual Hoo Freezer dinghie race at Hoo Ness Yacht Club takes place on Sunday.

The event - which is co-hosted by Wilsonian Sailing Club - attracts competitors from across the south east and this year will serve as the final race in the Sailjuice Global Warm-up Series.

The two-hour open-handicap race for single hull sailing dinghies will start at 11am, with a practice race taking place on Saturday, starting at 10.45am.

Racing will take place over a course set principally in Short Reach and Gillingham Reach, with spectators able to watch the action from Fishermans' Village on St Mary's Island and Gillingham Strand or, around the start time, Cobham Fort on the Saxon Shore Way.

Entry costs £15 per boat with more information on www.hooness.org.uk and www.wilsoniansc.org.uk
