It will be a case of back to basics for the Invicta Dynamos this weekend as they try to build on last Sunday’s late fightback against the Wightlink Raiders.

Invicta are not firing on all cylinders but face a double header which head coach Kevin Parrish believes gives his side the chance to get their season moving.

On Saturday they travel to meet joint leaders Bracknell Hornets in NIHL South Division 1 and on Sunday they are at home to the Romford Raiders in the South East Trophy.

Parrish said: "The good thing (about Sunday’s game) was that we carried on battling and to come from 4-2 down to draw 4-4 in the last few seconds showed there is nothing wrong in terms of team spirit.

"There are no issues among the players off the ice. They are all getting along fine and I have told them to take that attitude on to the ice and play with a bit of fun.

"But I also think we’ve got to get back to basics and that’s what we have been working on in training this week. We’ve got to play some basic hockey and not over complicate things."
