Invicta Dynamos bounced back from their first defeat of the season by crushing Peterborough Islanders 11-2 at the Gillingham Ice Bowl on Sunday.

The Mos opened the weekend with a 4-3 defeat at Bracknell Hornets in the ENIHL Division 1 on Saturday but stormed back against the Islanders and remain top of the table.

Defeat to Bracknell ended a nine-game winning streak. Nicky Lewis had put Invicta 1-0 ahead in the opening period but Bracknell levelled nine minutes into the second. Just moments later they scored again to take the lead.

Lewis made it 2-2 and minutes before the end of the second period Invicta regained the lead with a deflected goal from Jack Tarczycki.

Two goals in the last period put Bracknell back in front and they took the win.

Invicta went three goals ahead in the first period on Sunday against Peterborough with efforts from Peter Vaisanen (pictured), Anthony Lennon and AJ Smith.

Vaisanen completed his hat-trick in the second session and strikes by Johan Stenvall and Ross Mackintosh left Invicta leading 7-2 going into the last period.

The Mos continued to dominate and four more goals came their way.

Canadian Vaisanen netted his fourth, Lewis scored Mos' ninth and 10th goal, and AJ Smith completed the rout.
