An off-colour Invicta Dynamos suffered suffered only their third defeat of the ENIHL Division 1 South season at the weekend.

The miserable 5-1 reverse at Bracknell Hornets on Saturday night was the second time Mos have lost at the Hornets this season.

Peter Vaisanen, pictured, actually gave Invicta the lead inside five minutes but the home side showed more of a cutting-edge than the visitors and levelled before the end of the first period and were 3-1 up after the second.

Two further goals in the final frame sealed the disappointing defeat.

Four goals from man of the match Joe Johnston helped Invicta bounce back the following night with an emphatic 14-1 win over the division's whipping-boys Peterborough Islanders which kept the Mos five points clear of second-placed Cardiff Devils.

Johnston opened the scoring in the first before seven goals arrived in the second period with Johnston completing his hat-trick and further strikes from Vaisanen (2), Nolan Boike (2) and Nicky Lewis.

Loyde Fuller made it 9-0 before Andy Smith, Lewis, AJ Smith, Johnston and Vaisanen completed the rout, with the Islanders netting a late consolation.
