A family whose son died on a school trip are celebrating the birth of a boy - 16 months after a tragedy which touched the whole of Medway.

Tiny Kai Waller is a beacon of hope and happiness for his parents, left devastated by
Hayden’s death while on a skiing holiday in Austria.
Hayden was only 12 when he fell from an icy trail trying to help a friend.
Now a new baby has brought happiness back to the lives of his mum Hayley, dad Gary and brother Aaron.
Kai arrived on Wednesday, right on time, with his mother’s waters breaking just five minutes after midnight.
Hayley went to hospital at 4am, and 8lb 5oz Kai arrived at 7.38am.
Now they are back at home in Wigmore and big brother Aaron is helping to look after Kai.
Gary said: “Aaron is chuffed, nothing is too much trouble for him.
“It seems the little chap is going to have three parents.”
