All M2 lanes open after earlier closure due to leaking lorry

All lanes are now open on the M2 after one was closed due to a leaking lorry.

Fire crews were called at 11.15pm to reports of the leak between junctions 3, for Chatham, and 2, for Strood, of the M2 London bound, just before the Medway motorway bridge.

Police were called at 11.31am and they put in a rolling road block to help get vehicles past safely.

A Kent Fire and Rescue spokeswoman said it is being treated as a chemical leak.

Fire crews left the scene at 12.50pm.
