The M2 was temporarily closed following a crash involving a lorry and a car.

The incident happened on the London-bound carriageway at Junction 3 - the turn-off for Chatham, Rochester and Maidstone - at 1pm and led to queues.

A police spokesman said: "Officers attended the scene and the vehicles were moved to the hard-shoulder.

"The carriageway was closed while highways teams cleared debris."

The road was reopened at 1.30pm.

No injuries were reported.
