Man arrested after raid on drug den

More than 370 wraps of heroin and cocaine have been seized after police raided a suspected drug den in Chatham.

Officers were on patrol with Medway Community Policing Team in Pheasant Road on Tuesday morning when they became suspicious of a large group of people outside a property in nearby Luton Road.

Knowledge of the area led them to believe drug dealing could be taking place so they entered a shared house and knocked on the door of one of the bedrooms.

Omarie Crosdale, 19, of Long Lane in Croydon, has since been charged with possessing heroin and cocaine with intent to supply.

He pleaded guilty to offences at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday and was remanded in custody to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Wednesday July 4.
