Man arrested in connection with serious attack at Rochester's Eagle Tavern

A 22-year-old was arrested in connection with an attack which left a man in a serious condition.

This morning police arrested the Chatham man on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

The assault happened just before midnight on Saturday at the Eagle Tavern pub, in Rochester High Street.

The suspect was taken into custody but was later released on bail.

The victim was taken to a London hospital on Saturday after the attack.

He is still being treated and is in a serious condition.

Police are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the assault or has any information regarding this incident.
