Police investigate an assault and burglary at Rochester flat

A forensic unit attended a flat last night after reports of burglary and assault.

It is reported four mean targeted a flat in Rochester High Street on Monday, September 3.

Allegedly the group assaulted a man, stole a quantity of cash and then left the premises.

The incident was reported just before 4pm and forensic officers were spotted investigating at 7pm.

Police Spokesman James Walker said: Police are investigating an aggravated burglary which took place at a property in Rochester High Street.

"No serious injuries were reported and at present no arrests have been made.
