Anim-Mates pet rescue is looking for rabbit lovers to home three boys and one girl who are just four months old

Carl and Lenny, above, and Meg and Dobbin, below, are four rabbits who need new homes.

Their mother Blossom, who was featured in this column last month, was barely six months old when she gave birth to the girl and three boys.

Their fosterer, Lisa Inns, said: “These mini-lops are nearly four months old and are very playful.

“They love being handled and also enjoy a cuddle.

Meg and Dobbin also need a new home.

“I have seen them grow from a few weeks old into fine young rabbits. They are incredibly inquisitive and have great fun teasing each other.

“Blossom conceived them when her owner’s young children thought it would be a good idea to let her play with their other pet, an active male rabbit, who was also only six months old.

“Following a rather desperate call from their owner, who said she couldn’t cope with so many rabbits, Blossom, her partner Teddy and the babies all came into our care.

“To avoid history repeating itself Carl, Lenny and Dobbin were all neutered a fortnight ago.

“They were also vaccinated against myxomatosis and VHD.

“The whole family have lived happily together in a spacious hutch with a very large run at our sanctuary.”

Anim-Mates wants to home the youngsters in two pairs. They can go as two boys and the remaining boy with Meg. New owners will have a choice of combinations.

Homes must have large hutches and runs.

Meanwhile, Blossom and Teddy are still looking for a new home.

If you can offer a pair of rabbits a home, call Lisa on 01634 578258 or 07796 368243.

Missy Carnation, a stray cat in last week’s Messenger has been adopted by a Chatham reader.
