Moped rider suffered minor injuries after crash in Corporation Street, Rochester, during rush hour traffic

A moped rider suffered minor injuries after his bike was in collision with a car in Corporation Street during rush hour traffic yesterday evening.

Police and paramedics were called out to the road shortly after 5.30pm and the accident led to traffic delays for other motorists.

A spokesman for police said: “Kent Police was called at 5.36pm on Tuesday 3 January, 2017, regarding a collision involving a car and a moped on Corporation Street, Rochester.

“Police officers and South East Coast Ambulance Service went to the scene where the moped rider reported injuries that are described as minor.

“There was some congestion until the moped was moved to the side of the road. Enquiries are on-going into the circumstances of the collision.”
