Chatham Dockside shooting: Police call for video footage

Police have issued an appeal following an incident at Chatham Dockside earlier today.

A man in his 30s was arrested this morning after he fired multiple shots off a penthouse balcony.

Chatham residents recall moments they first heard man firing weapon

Armed police stormed a block of flats near the Dockside Outlet Shopping Centre after footage captured the man firing the shots into the air and goading the police.

They seized four suspected imitation firearms and arrested the man on suspicion of firearms offences.

A police helicopter also flew overhead and people were told to stay away.

Police remain on the scene this afternoon.

They have asked anyone with video footage of the incident to call their appeal line on 01634 792209 quoting reference 22-0182.
