Police hunt for robbers

A gun may have been used to threaten two teeenagers who were robbed in seperate incidents within ten minutes of each other.

Both incidents occured on the Great Lines in Gillingham at about 8pm yesterday, Sunday.

On the first occasion, an 18-year-old man had £5 stolen from his wallet while a 17-year-old had £20 taken from his wallet 10 minutes later.

Both victims were threatened by two men but escaped unhurt.

Police have been informed that a weapon, possibly a gun, may have been brandished by one of the men.

Detectives have asked for any information regarding the two men.

The first is described as white, 6ft 2in and of a big build, having short dark brown hair with a fringe and facial hair.

He was wearing a light baby blue hooded top, dark tracksuit bottoms and spoke with a local accent.

The second man is described as being white, 5ft 10in, aged in his late 20s and of a skinny build.

He had dark hair and was wearing a dark blue or brown hooded top, dark tracksuit bottoms and also spoke with a local accent.

A police helicopter was called to the area to help deal with the incident.
